On Saturday, 5 September 2026, Room 201 of the Exam Hall at Govt. KC College becomes a competition floor. Sixty cubers, five events and one full day to put an official time next to your name.

As checked on 30 August, 39 competitors are listed for a limit of 60 — leaving up to 21 places. Online registration closes at 11:59 PM on Monday, 31 August 2026.
The online fee is ৳400 for any 1–5 events. Register on the WCA website first, then follow the competition's Payment Procedure. Your place is not confirmed until the organizing team accepts your registration.

If places remain, spot registration may be available for ৳600 between 7:45 AM and 8:30 AM on competition day. The organizers ask spot competitors to contact them before travelling, so online registration is the safer choice.
Why we're sponsoring this competition
Bangladesh's cubing community grows every time a competition happens outside the usual circuit. A WCA event in Jhenaidah means a first official solve is suddenly much closer for cubers across Kushtia, Chuadanga, Magura, Jashore, Meherpur and the wider Khulna region.
Competitions turn solo practice into a community. They are where you meet the person behind the times you have been following, learn how judging works, test your main under real pressure and leave with stories no practice session can produce.

The five events
You can register for any or all of these:
- 3x3x3 Cube — the main event and the best place to begin
- 2x2x2 Cube — fast, explosive and rarely predictable
- 4x4x4 Cube — big-cube turning, centres, edges and the possibility of parity
- 3x3x3 One-Handed — one hand, the same nerves and a very different solve
- Pyraminx — quick to learn and a friendly choice for a first competition
You do not have to enter all five. Registering for one or two events is completely normal, especially for a first competition. Check the official page for the latest round formats, time limits, cutoffs and schedule before the day.
First competition? Read this bit
If you can solve a 3x3 within the event's 10-minute time limit, you are fast enough to compete. Most people attend to set personal bests, get official results and meet other cubers — not to win the final.
A few things make the first day easier:
- Bring an ID that shows your date of birth. The organizers specifically require this for new competitors; a birth certificate is preferred.
- Bring your own puzzles. The competition supplies timers and mats, not cubes.
- Expect to help. Competitors usually judge, run or scramble for other groups. A tutorial will show you what to do.
- Arrive early. Check-in and the new-competitor briefing are part of the experience, and missing your group can cost you an official attempt.
- Practice with inspection. Use a 15-second inspection and a Stackmat-style start in your final sessions so the competition routine feels familiar.
- Do not chase a last-minute setup. Clean, lubricate and tension your main a few days before the event, then leave it alone.

- Every puzzle you registered to compete with
- A small bottle of lube and your tensioning tool
- Water and something to eat
- Your registration confirmation
- An ID showing your date of birth if this is your first WCA competition
Competition nerves are real. Your first official average may be slower than your practice average, and that is normal. The result still gives you a starting line — and the next competition gives you a target.

Coming to watch?
Spectators can attend for free. If you are unsure about competing, watching one event is the fastest way to understand how friendly a WCA competition actually is. Stay for a final, learn how the groups work and talk to the cubers between rounds. The next registration form will feel much easier.
