The X-Man Design Tornado V5 Flagship UV is the more controllable of the two launch editions of QiYi's newest flagship 3x3, released in April 2026 as the first all-new Tornado since the V4. At 66 grams it is the lightest Tornado ever made, and for the first time in the series the grippy, scratch-resistant UV coating comes standard instead of being reserved for the top tier.

Inside, an 8-magnet ball core works together with corner-edge magnets to pull the layers back into alignment after every turn, while traditional springs keep the feel stable and predictable. Everything tunes tool-free: eight levels of axis distance and eight levels of spring elasticity are adjusted by hand, and a separate nine-level dial sets corner-to-core magnet strength to taste.

If the Pioneer is the aggressive sibling built around MagLev and a denser core, the Flagship trades a little raw speed for control and consistency - an excellent choice for longer averages and solvers who dislike over-shooting.
