ShengShou's Petaminx V3 is a nine-layer megaminx - the dodecahedron equivalent of a 9x9 - rebuilt around 1,212 small snap-fit modules that clip together into a stable, tightly engaged body.
Compared with earlier petaminxes, the V3 tightens everything up: 49 mm faces for shorter finger travel, widened outer shells and rounded corners that forgive off-line turns, and a one-piece twelve-hole core whose spring tension and axis distance are set by screw behind quick-open center caps. At about 576 grams it is the lighter, non-magnetic way into the biggest SengSo minx.
A long, absorbing solve for anyone who has outgrown the Gigaminx and Teraminx.
