The original Meilong 12x12 weighed a wrist-draining 533 grams. Version 2 cuts that nearly in half - about 277 grams on the same 75 mm footprint - through reworked internals and aggressive part-thinning, including middle layers pared down to five millimetres.

Released mid-2026, the V2 is now lighter than many commercial eleven-layers while retaining the line's signature value pricing. Triple-center structure keeps those enormous faces rigid, and frosted stickerless plastic handles marathon solving sessions without glare or slippage.

Twelve layers finally feel like a puzzle rather than a punishment.
